Concrete Planter Care Guide
Why Are Concrete Planters Durable?
Planters produced with high-quality concrete mixes become stronger and more durable over the years. However, proper care optimizes this process.
Cleaning
Once a month, clean the surface with a soft brush and warm water. Avoid acidic cleaning products — they can damage the concrete surface.
Winter Care
Frozen soil can expand inside the planter and create cracks. In winter months, either bring the planter inside or protect the soil inside from moisture.
Water Drainage
Make sure the drainage hole doesn't get clogged. Poor drainage leads to root rot. Placing gravel or ceramic pieces under the planter is helpful.
Longevity Tips
- Regular inspection: surface check twice a year
- Fill small cracks with special concrete repair products
- Limit prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
